I like travelling. Actually, I love to travel very much. And every trip I take, whether for one day or couple of weeks, is an incredible adventure. I also like to make the most of my trips, so I prefer to do a lot of research prior to the trip. Unfortunately, research takes a lot of time and sometimes I am not even sure where to start?while Google offers millions of answers and suggestions, the problem is deciding which are the best and most reliable options.
For this reason, I use the services of a corporate travel agent when I travel for business, and when I travel for pleasure I enlist the help of professional travel agents: all of which are true specialists in their area of expertise. My corporate travel agent is amazing, as she knows my business routes and preferred way to travel, as well as suggests hotels which are close to either my clients or transit points. In addition, she offers special deals and perks (i.e. discounted rates, room upgrades ?and airport lounges access). When traveling for pleasure, I have been lucky enough to work with truly unique travel agents who booked my first cruise (which was fantastic), our trip to Russia (which was beyond spectacular) and a recent trip to Scotland, arranged by a very knowledgeable Scottish tour operator.
There has been one challenge: while they are exceptionally qualified providers, none of these travel agents are able to answer all of my questions.? .? They have an area of expertise they specialize in, and trust their selected partners to ?offer support in other areas?one of which is travel insurance.
Travel insurance is a very specialized product, which travel agents usually recommend to their customers only via very reputable brands, selected not only by credit rating and level of coverage, but more importantly based on the level of customer care and claim experience that each travel insurance brand is known for.
Because of the specialized nature of travel insurance, I thought that it was very fitting in a recent post on the Travel Insurance Review?s website, founder Damian Tysdal recommended another specialized travel service, a travel concierge, via his post ?6 reasons why Concierge Services have become popular?.
According to Tysdal, a travel concierge compliments your travel agent?s expertise, improving your entire travel experience thanks to their extensive knowledge and research capabilities.? Because Global Concierge service providers have well-established networks, travelers know that their upcoming trips will be easy, worry-free and above all a memorable experience: one with the peace of mind provided by a travel insurance policy.
Imagine the possibility of having door-to-door transportation arranged for you, an escort meeting you at the airport and letting you zoom through check in, security and customs with immigration controls to comfortably settle you into the airport lounge for a free cocktail before your flight. Why worry about luggage if a concierge can arrange for its delivery to your hotel room and then back home? How about a mobile app which will give you an on-the-spot suggestion that a nearby restaurant has a free desert waiting for you? Travelling with pets? A concierge can find you a perfect place to relax with your pet in a pet-friendly restaurant or play area.
And in case something is happening near your home while you on your well-deserved break, a concierge can help with home repairs too, using a credentialed list of certified providers. They can help handle everything, so you can enjoy your travel and return home relaxed and happy.? Isn?t this the best way to travel?
