The Company: Our client is the leading Retail Equipment Supplier in Australia. They are committed to providing high quality, efficient & effective solutions to our clients which include the largest retailers in Australia including Woolworths and Coles.? They are in the business of retail fixturing, including front end counters, signage, check-outs, POS, gondola systems, installation and complete store fit-outs.? They specialize in computerised and CNC signage manufacturing equipment and high resolution digital printing, mounting & laminated graphics, 3D or illuminated signs of any combination
The Role: Reporting directly to the Design Manager, this role is responsible for the "design, documentation and delivery" of high quality design equipment such as shelving, racks, signage, displays, fixtures & POS equipment that meet customer's needs and expectations.
Duties
- Liaise with Clients contacts to actualize products/images from design briefs.
- Develop engineering solutions for equipment design and production.
- Liaison with suppliers to ensure cost effective quality equipment design and production.
- Ensure that products are compliant with relevant Australian standards.
- Follow the internal standardization and drawing standards library rulings.
- Discuss, visualize and implement design ideas concepts to create final drawings.
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical /Industrial Engineering or designing equivalent
- Recent & relevant track record of 3 to 5 years continuous commercial usage of Solidworks software
- Experience in a similar role in Industrial / Light Mechanical/Graphics Design would be an advantage.
- Good organizational, communication and liaison skills are required.
